SAFEGUARDING POLICY

The Parish of Millom works hard to safeguard children,  young people and vulnerable adults We aim to create a safe environment where children
and young people are nurtured and protected and where all people, especially those who may be vulnerable for any reason, are able to worship
and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.

The Parochial Church Council of Millom formally adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ safeguarding policy statement
and practice guidance at its meeting on March 18th 2019.

All members of the PCC and all who work with children, young people or vulnerable adults have undergone
safeguarding training and a safeguarding handbook is available in each church.
